Meet Your Dentists

Care and Compassion is Our Motto

Dr. David Nibouar

Dr. David Nibouar has been treating families in the Pike Creek Valley community for over 40 years. After attending the University of Delaware, Dr. Nibouar continued his schooling at Temple University School of Dentistry, graduating in 1971. A year later, he completed a residency at Wilmington Medical Center and then began private practice.

Dr. Nibouar remains dedicated to continuing education, averaging over 50 hours annually over the last four decades. He remains committed to clinical excellence, keeping current with the latest in dentistry advancements and procedures. This dedication is, in part, due to the high value Dr. Nibouar places on the warm relationships and maintains with his long-term patients.

He is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry — an organization dedicated to advanced continuing dental education. Dr. Nibouar is also a member of the American Dental Association and the Delaware State Dental Society, having served as secretary of the Peer Review Committee. He’s been a speaker for Pride institute, and is co-founder of Emeritus — a personal growth organization for professionals. Dr. Nibouar also co-authored Authentic Leadership — A Primer for Professionals and Small Business Owners.

When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Nibouar enjoys spending time with his wife of 47 years, their three dogs, and two horses. He also likes traveling and photography.

“Every day at the office is fun for me. I love getting to know people well enough to be sure I am doing the right thing for them, and I love that we have created a place where it’s an enjoyable experience for everyone.” David B. Nibouar, DDS

Dr. Matt Baran

Dr. Matt Baran is a native Delawarean, born and raised in Pike Creek. He grew up just a mile and a half from the office, and graduated from Tatnall High School in 2002. He went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Bucknell University, graduating in 2006, then completed his dental training at Temple University School of Dentistry in 2011. He also completed a general practice residency at York Hospital in York, PA. Dr. Baran has been practicing privately in Delaware since 2012.

Matt invests over 50 hours a year of continuing education, ensuring he’s up-to-date on the latest technology and techniques to better provide patients with consistent, quality care. He is a member of both the American Dental Association and the Delaware State Dental Society. Dr. Baran is also a certified Invisalign provider.

Outside of the office, Dr. Baran enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children. He also has a passion for sports, especially lacrosse. Dr. Baran played in college at Bucknell University and professionally in Major League Lacrosse for three years. He still plays with his club team every summer, but now spends most of his time coaching his kids.

“I love what I do as a dentist, but the best part of my job is the relationship I have with each of my patients. I understand that people can feel anxious at the dentist, and that is why I try to connect with everyone on a personal level. I want every person to feel like the dental office is a place where they can truly feel comfortable.” – Matthew R. Baran, DMD

I have been going to Dr. Nibouar for more than 30 years — since before I could drive, even — and now I’m 44. Though I moved from Hockessin to Philadelphia and then Chester County, I still make the trip to his offices and wouldn’t think of changing dentists. Now that Dr. Baran is on his team, I’ll probably be with them another 30! The offices are super clean, the staff is always happy (that I can see), and I’m treated well each time.
